Dorothy's Vision Card Story

"When I did the Vision Card workshop with Mary and Laurie, I created a card about my coaching and leadership programs taking place in exceptional locations. What's happened since then is that I did indeed lead a session with executives at a fly-in wilderness camp in the Chilcotin Mountains in British Columbia. It was everything I envisioned and more. This experience also inspired me to run coaching programs at my cottage at Duck’s Bay, my favorite place in the world. Before using Vision Cards the possibility of leading retreats there hadn't occurred to me!"

Karol's Vision Card Story

“I came to the Vision Card Workshop on a whim last July.  It ended up yielding results I can’t explain.  At the workshop I enjoyed spending time with others who were out to create new chapters in their life.  The directions were to find images for my Cards that resonated with me and made me feel good to look at them. 

I chose a picture of a man and a woman facing each other holding hands in the woods.  I told one of the women in the workshop that I would really like to meet a great guy and have intimacy like this picture. At that time, I wasn’t feeling very good about myself.  In fact, one of my other vision cards was to eat more vegetables.  The whole notion of meeting this guy didn’t even seem possible.  

About three weeks later, after meditating on my Vision Card in the morning, I went to Ely for a yearly girl’s get-a-way (the only time I ever go to the woods).  I had a sinus infection and almost stayed home.  I am so glad I went!  The first night there, a gentleman named David showed up as a guest of my friend’s mom.  We shared the same passions for acting and creativity; three nights of fireside chats started a wonderful relationship. It turned out he lives in the cities and we have been dating happily ever since.

Laurie and Mary, your clearing for possibility is amazing!  I recommend that people throw their hat over the fence and attend a workshop!  My vision cards have come true. The relationship one that I didn’t truly believe would happen… happened. The eat-veggies card came true too — I lost a bunch of weight. Everything unfolded together.”
